    Carver Community Center has served the south side of Chillicothe and Ross County since its founding, originally established to support local youth. Today it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs a free daily hot-meal program year-round alongside a Summer Feeding Program for children. Beyond food services, the center provides full-day early childhood education, before- and after-school care, summer youth programs, Monday Family Nights, diaper distribution for families in need, and health and wellness classes. Anyone who is hungry is welcome to come in during meal-program hours for a free hot meal with no questions asked.

    Food pantry serving Ross County, Ohio residents in urgent need since 1981. Provides groceries and emergency food assistance at no charge. Clients must first obtain a referral from a partner agency (such as The Salvation Army, United Way of Ross County, Ross County Child & Family Services, Ross County Community Action, or another local partner organization) before visiting the pantry. Pantry is stocked through partnerships with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, community food drives, and donations from individuals, businesses, and local grocery chains.
