    Part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program, this site provides free, nutritious breakfast and lunch to children ages 18 and younger throughout the summer months when school is out. Operated on-site at Northside Baptist Church in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Atrium Health, and Sodexo, the program welcomes all children with no registration, paperwork, or documentation required.     Governors' Village STEM Academy (Lower) is one of more than 50 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools sites participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Operated by CMS School Nutrition Services under Executive Director Cathy Beam Essick, the site provides free, nutritious summer meals to school-age youth when regular school meals are unavailable. Meals are served in the school cafeteria. Guests check in at the front office on arrival.
