    Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM) provides emergency food and financial assistance to residents of eastern Jefferson County. The food pantry operates as a full client-choice model where participants shop for their own groceries with the help of volunteer companions. Emergency pre-packed food boxes are also available for one-time visitors. EACM also offers a diaper closet, a home-delivered meals program for anyone facing a life event that makes meal preparation difficult, free English classes and citizenship preparation, and the Helping Hands Partnership program that provides case management, mentorship, and workshops for long-term stability.     Delivery services are very limited and are reserved for senior citizens or those with serious medical problems. If you believe you fall into either category, let us know and we may be able to help you find options in Anchorage.
