    Info

The Arlington EATS Market is a safe space for anyone in Arlington who needs food. If you are an Arlington resident in need of food, you can shop for free once each week (defined as Sunday-Saturday). Foods include a variety of fresh produce, meat, dairy and canned and shelf stable food. Please note items will vary from week to week.

The Market is open for shopping by appointment. Drop-ins are not allowed during the first hour the Market is open, but can usually be accommodated after 10am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and after 3pm on Mondays. However, priority will be given to those with appointments, so drop-ins may be required to wait a bit as space in the Market is limited.

Make your appointment by phone: Call Arlington EATS’ hotline at (339) 707-6761. Leave a message with your name and phone number and the date and approximate time you’d like to shop. You will receive a call back within a day or two.

Food pantries offer grocery-style items such as canned food, fresh produce, and dry goods like pasta or rice that you can cook yourself. All of these locations may have different options on different days, so it is hard to tell what each one of them will offer any given day.

  17. Do they have vegetables?

Pantries may have different options at different times, so it is hard to tell what each one of them will offer any given day. Most pantries in Ball Square do give out some form of vegetables, but they may be canned items.

  18. Do they have meat?

  19. Any pantries open today?

If you’ve signed up for personalized assistance through our text message helpline, please take a look at the links we’ve sent you! If none of the resources we’ve sent are open today, let us know and we can search for additional options. Here’s a list of everything in Ball Square that’s open today: Self-Service DTA Kiosk at Somerville Council on Aging (limited services available), Project SOUP, Mystic Community Market

  20. Where are you located?
