Free summer breakfast and lunch meals for children and young adults 18 and under, operated by the nonprofit Students Seeking Outstanding Academic Results INC (SSOAR) at Berkmar High School. All meals must be consumed on-site. The organization also distributes fresh produce, pantry items, and meat through additional community distributions. What Do I Need?

Mercy Seed participates in the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) Oasis system.

First-Time Visitors: Household registration is required. Please bring a valid photo ID to complete the registration/verification process. Returning Neighbors: Please have your Oasis Barcode available at each visit. Food assistance is provided based on available inventory and special applicable program requirements. One food box per household/address per distribution. A maximum of two households (must be different addresses) may receive food per vehicle.

If you are new to an ACFB partner agency, you will be assisted with the household registration process.

Emergency Food Assistance

If you are experiencing an urgent food need outside of our regular Saturday distribution, limited emergency food assistance may be available Monday–Thursday by appointment only, based on food availability.

Holiday Closures

Mercy Seed may be closed or operate on an adjusted schedule around major holidays, including:

Holiday closures and schedule changes will be announced in advance through our church & neighbor communication channels. We encourage neighbors to check for updates before visiting during holiday weeks.

Senior‑focused nonprofit operating a large free food pantry in Norcross that provides groceries and essential items to low‑income seniors, along with culturally and linguistically competent support and additional social services such as benefits enrollment, transportation, and wellness programs.

Berkmar Middle School partners with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to distribute fresh fruits, vegetables, and essential food items to community members throughout the school year. The school also participates in the Gwinnett County Public Schools Seamless Summer Option (SSO) meal program during summer, providing free breakfast and lunch to children 18 and under. Food is distributed while supplies last.
