The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Family Life Center. The pantry will stay close in the month of July every year

Food pantry distribution on the 4th Saturday of the month at 10 AM, where approximately 150 bags, including perishable goods, are given out. People are advised to come early. During the week, non-perishable food bags are available Monday through Wednesday afternoons from 12 PM to 6 PM for those in need. The service is closed on holidays.

The Decatur Bible Chapel food pantry has been serving the community since 2016, providing free groceries to everyone with no discrimination based on race, color, or religious affiliation. Warm, friendly volunteers distribute pantry items and free hot soup, and will also pray with visitors upon request. No appointment is necessary. On Saturdays, the pantry is paired with the Parents & Kids Club, which welcomes parents and children from babies to age 18 for crafts, games, Bible stories, lunch, birthday gifts, and a free coffee shop where parents can connect.

Operated by the First African Community Development Corporation, the largest African-American food distribution network in Georgia, this bi-weekly food pantry distributes fresh produce and assorted dry goods to community members experiencing food insecurity. The pantry is hosted at New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and operates as a drive-thru community distribution. FACDC collectively distributes over two million pounds of food each year through partner churches, schools, and community organizations across metro Atlanta.

New Love Tabernacle Christian Church offers food assistance to the community. They provide support for emergency food needs and also hold general food distribution events.

Rainbow Park Baptist Church operates a community food pantry program serving low-income individuals and households in need. The pantry provides food assistance along with clothing support and access to GED preparation classes.

This food pantry serves individual families who are residents of DeKalb County. Clients must call (404) 289-2271 between Monday-Thursday from 8AM-5PM to complete registration and schedule an appointment. ID is not required. The Greater Fellowship Outreach & Development will not accommodate clients without appointments and does not serve other non-profit organizations or food banks.

We recommend that clients call and schedule the time they will be coming to pick up food. This is not a mandatory requirement, however it expedites the turnaround time of filling out our intake form and being out the door. It also eliminates making dried runs to our facility. Additionally, our process allows clients to visit our Food Pantry twice in a calendar month. We suggest putting a week in between.
