Durham Street Initiatives Inc. is a Baltimore City community-revitalization nonprofit in the Broadway East neighborhood that operates a USDA Summer Food Service Program offering free nutritious ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch to children eighteen and younger at its North Durham Street site. The organization is investing in transforming its block into a welcoming community hub where local residents can gather and take part in neighborhood life. Community food pantry operated by Angels Helping Angels and hosted at New David Baptist Church of Christ. Provides free groceries to Baltimore residents; may offer toiletries and clothing during community giveaways; limited home delivery is available for immobile or homebound clients.

Bread for the Journey Community Meal provides lunches. Open to Baltimore City residents only. Groceries are available. Clients can walk in for assistance or RSVP online.

Charm City Care Connection is a low-barrier harm reduction drop-in center serving people affected by drug use, poverty, and stigma in East Baltimore. The center centers dignity, justice, and respect, with programs developed in partnership with affected community members. It provides syringe access and disposal, safer smoking kits, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and overdose prevention education. Wound care, hepatitis C and HIV testing and treatment, and buprenorphine services come through partnership with the Baltimore City Health Department. A hot community lunch is offered weekly to-go, alongside snacks, drinks, clothing, hygiene kits, and safer sex materials. Showers, laundry, bathroom facilities, and personal protective equipment are also available. Case managers help connect visitors to mental health care, medical care, substance use treatment, and assistance getting identification documents. Peer groups, counseling, and activities like movie day, game day, and yoga create a welcoming community space.

Provides fresh, free rescued food at weekly outdoor distributions. At the East Baltimore Medical Center site, distribution starts Mondays at 4:00 pm. Participants should bring their own bags and may choose the items they want.

The Damon Crowdy Foundation operates a free summer meal site as part of its East Baltimore Community Center programming, in partnership with Rebirth Enhancement Services through the Wellness Wonderland Therapeutic Summer Program. The program provides ready-to-eat breakfast, lunch, and snacks to school-age youth alongside therapeutic enrichment, arts, life-skills, and wellness activities. Any child or teen 18 and younger may participate at no cost, with no income proof required. Registration is required to enroll.
