A free, monthly grocery distribution hosted at Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School in partnership with ALIVE!, UNCUT Youth, and the Capital Area Food Bank. The program distributes bags of groceries including fresh produce to City of Alexandria residents. Drive-up and walk-up service is available at the school's bus loading zone behind the building. ALIVE! West End Food Hub is a community food pantry operated by ALIVE!, a long-standing Alexandria nonprofit, serving City of Alexandria residents in a welcoming, dignified setting. The hub provides free groceries alongside personal care items, cleaning supplies, and school supplies, and connects neighbors with other ALIVE! programs such as rental and emergency financial assistance, SNAP enrollment help, housing referrals, childcare resources, and immigration or legal services. Volunteers and staff are on hand to answer questions and help clients navigate additional supports during their visit.
