Free breakfast and lunch are served to children and teens 18 and younger through this federal program, operated in partnership with the DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs. A ministry of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church that provides groceries and clothing to individuals and families in need. Food distribution takes place in Miracle Hall. The center also offers monthly food giveaways in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, as well as referral services and resource information to help navigate additional assistance programs. Graves Elementary School hosts a monthly food distribution in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Volunteer Gwinnett. The market-style pantry allows families to select their own groceries, receiving approximately 40 to 50 pounds of food per visit. Distributions operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The pantry serves the school community, including an estimated 180 to 200 families. The program also connects to a weekend backpack program that sends food home with students on Fridays.
