Aspen Hill Christian Church operates a food pantry providing non-perishable groceries. Assistance is coordinated through the church office by appointment. The church also engages in various community outreach activities.

Eligibility for the Interfaith Works Food Pantry is restricted to individuals residing in the following zip codes: 20850, 20851, 20852, 20853, 20854, and 20855.

Individuals seeking assistance must provide:

• Identification
• Proof of Montgomery County residency
• Proof of low-income status

Access: The pantry is accessible by public transportation via the 45 Ride-On bus. The closest station is Twinbrook Station.

To receive food assistance from Manna Food at Glenmont United Methodist Church:

• Eligibility:

  • You must be a Montgomery County resident.
  • Your household income must fall below what is necessary for self-sufficiency.

• Scheduling an Order:

  • Please call Manna's main office at (301) 424-1130.
  • Calls are accepted Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • You must call by 12:00 PM the day before your desired pick-up date to ensure your order is ready.

• Food Pick-Up:

  • Bring a photo ID that includes your current Montgomery County address, or provide a document proving your current county residency.
  • If you cannot pick up your food on the scheduled day, please call Manna to reschedule.

• Case managers are available to provide information for additional assistance.

Eligibility for Food Assistance: To access food assistance, you will speak with a referral representative. They will ask a few questions to determine eligibility:

1. Are you a Montgomery County resident?
2. Does your household income meet Manna's eligibility guidelines?

Scheduling Your Food Pick-Up: Please call Manna at (301) 424-1130 during business hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. To ensure your food order is ready, please call by 12:00 PM the day before your desired pick-up date.

What to Bring for Pick-Up: When picking up food, you must bring a photo ID with your current Montgomery County address, or another document verifying your county residency.

Rescheduling Pick-Up: If you cannot pick up your food on the scheduled day, please call Manna to reschedule.

Provides free groceries via an indoor pantry on weekdays and an outdoor drive-up/walk-up pantry on Saturdays by appointment. Also offers free diapers, a no-cost thrift store with clothing and household items, periodic Gaithersburg pop-up distributions, limited home delivery for homebound clients, and assistance with SNAP/Medicare applications and sign language support. Pantry service is for adults 18+; ID required. Walk-ups also require appointments. Clients must arrive within 15 minutes of appointment time; early arrivals should not block main road. Diapers are for children born between 2022 and 2026; bring parent/guardian ID and document with child’s name and DOB; limit 2 packs per child per month. Home delivery is available for homebound individuals; email mjoe@sowhatelse.org to request enrollment; deliveries occur about every two weeks and may have a waitlist based on geography/volunteer capacity. Sign language assistance is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM during food pick-up appointments. The Spanish helpline is (240) 471-5995.
