    Info

The Gregory School Pantry is a choice-style grocery pantry operated by Mercer Street Friends inside Benjamin C. Gregory Elementary School as part of the agency's Community Schools Initiative and Family Resource Center. Families self-select shelf-stable groceries along with fresh produce, protein, and dairy, and can pick up baby formula, diapers, snacks, juice, and personal care items. The pantry is paired with on-site wraparound social services, including help applying for SNAP benefits, housing referrals, immigration assistance, legal aid, parenting and adult education classes, and mental health support. A community technology room provides laptops, printers, fax machines, and office supplies for online appointments and job searches. Volunteers deliver the program in a trauma-informed, judgment-free environment that welcomes neighbors from the surrounding community beyond just Gregory school families.
