• Screening with a social worker or case manager must be completed.

• Eligible people are:

  • Seniors with difficulty in moving
  • Single mothers with infants or babies
  • People with mental health issues that prevent them from going out
  • People with medical conditions that prevent them from going out
  • People with disability

• Delivery can be done on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings but a request can be made anytime by calling 202-489-8676. Leave a voice message with your details.

Lunch is served in the garden on 23rd Street NW, behind the sanctuary.

Hours of operation: Open Every Tuesday Afternoon 1:30-2:30 PM.

Required: Proof of DC residency is needed. Please bring a current photo ID such as a driver's license, passport or other identification card, along with proof of residency such as utility bill, etc.

• A bag of groceries is given.
• Numbers are given out at 1:30 pm so be sure to be there at or before that time.
• Meridian Hill Park is located in NW Washington between 16th and 15th Streets and Euclid St. on the north and W St. on the south. We distribute at the Chapin St. entrance which is halfway up the park on 15th St..
• They have 2 lines where one line is for the 260 premade bags they have on their truck and to get a ticket you have to arrive early while the second line is for anyone who didn't receive a ticket and got in line to get any extra food they may have

• We are a food pantry that distributes fresh fruits and vegetables, household cleaning items, personal hygiene items, and canned/boxed foods. Based on donations from local businesses, we also try to distribute milk and cheese, baked goods, meats, and ready-made meals.

**We give out food and cleaning items every Sunday from 1 to 3 pm, rain or shine. If pantry guests arrive at 2 pm, the line is shorter and there still is plenty of food. We are open on holidays.

• For people who are unable to visit the pantry in person due to disability, we deliver groceries to homes during weekends. This depends on how many volunteer drivers we have.

• We are located behind the building at 4340 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC. We are a block north of the Van Ness Metro station on the Red line on the west side.
