    Info

Playstreets is a Philadelphia Parks & Recreation program that closes designated neighborhood streets to traffic during the summer so children 18 years of age and under have a safe place to play and receive free nutritious meals. Volunteer Playstreet supervisors who live on the block open and close the streets each day. The program has served Philadelphia neighborhoods for more than 50 years, operating on 300 to 500 streets across the city each summer. Meals are provided through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
