Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen is the largest emergency food program in New York State, serving nutritious hot meals to anyone who walks in, without question or qualification. Each meal is prepared with a balanced mix of fruit, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. The kitchen has never missed a meal service since opening in 1982 and welcomes guests with dignity and respect. On-site social services are also available to help guests with food, housing, employment, and other basic needs.

The St. Francis Breadline is a Franciscan outreach ministry dedicated to serving New York City's poor, homeless, hungry, and marginalized neighbors with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Client-choice emergency food pantry operated by Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries at Metro Baptist Church that provides a 3-day supply of groceries per household, including fresh produce grown by the Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project; guests book via the Plentiful app with a short walk-in window available.

Alliance for Positive Change's Midtown Central Headquarters primarily serves individuals enrolled in their programs, particularly those with two or more chronic illnesses, HIV, or mental health and substance use issues. They offer extensive social services, including support groups, housing navigation, insurance linkage, job training, cash management, and health homes. A main food pantry distribution is held on the 15th of every month for registered clients. Emergency food is available during operating hours, provided once for first-time non-clients, and ongoing for registered clients. To become a client and access services, walk-ins are welcome for intake Monday through Friday, preferably by 4:00 PM. Please bring an ID and Medicaid card for intake. The location is on the 3rd Floor. The phone number is a central line providing options for various Alliance for Positive Change centers.

The Soup Kitchen at Saint Luke's serves over 300 hot, nutritious meals each service day in the church's transformed theater space, including take-out options. The program is partially subsidized by grants from United Way and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, with weekly deliveries of essential items from City Harvest and contributions from neighboring restaurants, the Riu Hotel, and the 46th Street Block Association. Special events include winter wear clothing distribution and holiday meals such as Thanksgiving lunches. The kitchen is staffed by volunteers from the congregation, area office workers, Broadway Serves, and visiting mission and youth groups. All are welcome and no referral is needed for meals. The kitchen takes a brief summer and winter break each year.
