Early every morning, on weekdays, weekends, holidays, through snowstorms, heatwaves and even hurricanes, over 300 homeless, disabled, unemployed, a large number of women and children migrants, veterans, and those fallen on hard times – all of them poor and hungry – gather along West 31st Street in New York City. We are only open to folks who are already GMHC clients. In order to receive our food pantry or hot meal services, folks must arrive with a GMHC client ID

Alliance for Positive Change primarily serves individuals enrolled in their programs, particularly those with two or more chronic illnesses, HIV, or mental health and substance use issues. They offer extensive social services, including support groups, housing navigation, insurance linkage (Medicaid), job training, cash management, and health homes. A main food pantry distribution is held one Wednesday per month for registered clients. Emergency food is available during operating hours, provided once for first-time non-clients, and ongoing for registered clients. To become a client and access services, walk-ins are welcome for intake Monday through Friday, preferably by 4:00 PM. Please bring an ID and Medicaid card for intake. The location is on the 3rd Floor.

Everyone who wishes to receive food must be registered. Registration occurs during the hours of distribution only. You must bring identification, social benefits card(s), and proof of residence for all the members of your household.

• You have to live within 15 blocks of the church -Clients must live between the 5th avenue and delton river
• Register on side bring and ID and Proof of Residence and they will create a Pantry Card for you.
