households living in Bergen County or northern Passaic County can make an appointment to receive a box of non-perishable food, along with fresh produce, meat, dairy, and bread, as available. Buddies of New Jersey is a community-based resource center supporting people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

This resource primarily provides frozen sandwiches and non-perishable items to community members.

• The food pantry is next door to the church.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Senior Center, operated by the Housing Authority of Bergen County, is a welcoming community space where older adults can socialize and stay engaged. The center offers a free weekday congregate lunch and a variety of social, educational, and wellness activities at no charge, funded through the Bergen County Division of Senior Services. Both retired and working older adults from all communities are welcome. A suggested voluntary donation of $1.25 per meal is appreciated but not required.

County-run senior activity center that provides weekday congregate meals, including lunch and continental breakfast, along with social, recreational, and educational programming. Meals are free for Bergen County residents age 50+ (or their spouses) with a suggested donation; reservations must be called in at least one day prior. Clients must be independent and able to walk, eat, and use the bathroom without assistance.

Harvest To Hope is the Free Food Distribution Ministry of Emmanuel Christian Church.

• We hand out Pre-Packed Boxes of Food on Wednesday's and Friday’s. Contents vary each day.
• WE DO NOT USE A NUMBER SYSTEM.
• Names are written down at 11:45am and called in RANDOM order, regardless of when you arrived. ALL will be served.
• There are NO requirements to claim free food, you just need to be INSIDE the church at 11:45am BEFORE the doors are Closed.

What is the current food distribution schedule (date/times)?:

• Please arrive by 11:45am on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. (Clothing is available on Friday's Only in limited quantities.)
• If you would like to wait inside, doors open at 10:30am but we do not begin until 11:45am.

We are normally closed on most major holidays but please keep an eye on our Facebook page or Website for closing information closer to a holiday date. @ecchackensack

Attendees should use the side door entrance.

The food pantry is usually held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Due to the weather, they were supposed to be open today, but they are closely monitoring conditions since it is very cold. There is a possibility they will open on Monday, 02/09/26 instead.

At this time, the distribution schedule may vary. They send out text messages to neighborhood residents whenever food is available for distribution.
