Hickory Grove Recreation Center is a Mecklenburg County park and recreation facility that hosts a USDA Summer Meal Program site sponsored by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Free breakfast and lunch are provided on-site to children and youth ages 18 and under, with no registration, no ID, and no documentation required. Lemontree can provide the required referral for this pantry. Please reach out to our helpline for help getting a referral for a Nourish Up pantry. Nourish Up also runs pop-up food shares, where no referral, ID or financial documents are required. Pre-registration is required for these pop-ups. Church-run community food pantry where individuals and families register and pick up free groceries for household food needs.

A free USDA Summer Food Service Program meal site run by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools School Nutrition Services in partnership with Freedom School Partners, hosted at The Grove Church. Children receive a healthy breakfast and lunch as part of a six-week summer literacy and enrichment program. Open to all children in the community regardless of registration.

New Waves of Joy Baptist Church hosts a free summer meal program that provides nutritious breakfast and lunch to children and teens. Operated as a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Summer Meals initiative site, meals are served in the church's Fellowship Hall (the white building) on the campus. The church also serves as a community gathering place with Sunday worship and weekly Bible study.

The New Antioch Church food pantry has served the community with hunger relief for nearly 12 years. Run with the help of weekly volunteers, the pantry provides groceries to low-income individuals and families, including the Hispanic community. Bishop Corey L. Simpson oversees the pantry operations.
