Community‑based nonprofit food pantry serving Bensonhurst that provides groceries, regularly distributes fresh produce, and helps community members with SNAP enrollment and access to health and social service resources.

Salt and Sea Mission Church, Inc. distributes groceries to community members. Tickets are distributed starting at 10:00 am, and clients are advised to arrive early. New clients are asked to come at 10:00 am. A working cell phone is required for first-time registration. Toiletries may also be available. Ready-to-eat meals may be offered on weekends.

A free USDA Summer Food Service Program site hosted at J.H.S. 227 Edward B. Shallow, a New York City public middle school. During the summer break, the school opens its cafeteria to any youth in the neighborhood to receive a free, ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch with no paperwork, ID, or registration required. The program is run by the NYC Public Schools Office of Food and Nutrition Services and welcomes walk-ins throughout the scheduled meal windows. The site is part of a citywide network of school-based meal locations that serve children and teens who might otherwise miss meals while school is out.

A New York City Department of Education Free Summer Meals site run through the Office of Food and Nutrition Services' Summer Food Service Program. Children and teens receive free, ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch on weekdays throughout the summer. Children simply walk in during meal service — no registration, identification, or income proof is required.

A church-based food pantry serving the Gravesend and Bensonhurst communities. The pantry distributes groceries and fresh produce to individuals and families in need, and is part of the AmpleHarvest network connecting local growers with food pantries. In addition to the food pantry, the organization offers bible lessons and after-school programs for youth. The pantry is located on the second floor of the building on 16th Street near Stillwell Avenue.
