At this Nourish Up food pantry location, neighbors facing food insecurity pick up a week's worth of nutritionally balanced groceries and, because this is a client-choice pantry, can select items that best fit their household. The pantry also participates in a FEMA gift-card program for clients with supplemental dietary needs; medical providers must call in those referrals on the client's behalf, and each client may receive one referral per calendar year. Clients who do not have a referral from a clergy member, medical provider, school counselor, or government human-services agency can ask Lemontree to provide one.

Host site for the USDA Summer Food Service Program (CMS Summer Meals) at the Beatties Ford Road Vocational Trade Center, Inc. facility. The center is a community-based vocational trade school on Charlotte's west side that partners with Dayson Diamond Youth Foundation and We Are One Charlotte to provide free meals and snacks to children and teens during the summer. The school also offers construction, fiber optics, computer technology, multimedia, and HVAC workforce training, plus a Family Counseling Center for mental health and substance abuse services.

Walter G. Byers School is a public K-8 magnet school in Charlotte, NC that hosts a free USDA Summer Food Service Program site during summer break. Operated by CMS School Nutrition Services, the site provides free breakfast and lunch to all children ages 1 through 18 with no registration, sign-up, or documentation required. Guests check in at the school front office. Catherine Essick serves as the CMS-listed Child Nutrition department contact for the school.

Free summer meals program for children and teens 18 and younger, run by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools School Nutrition Services. Part of the federal Summer Food Service Program, it provides a free breakfast and a free lunch on weekdays to any child in the community, with no registration, sign-up, ID, income, or address documentation required. Operated at the Mecklenburg County Ivory/Baker Recreation Center in partnership between Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation.
