This food pantry provides groceries to those in need. Clients often receive a variety of food items, and there is a community interest in fresh produce and other essentials.

Community nonprofit pantry offering twice‑monthly drive‑up distributions of fresh produce, shelf‑stable food, and hygiene or cleaning items. All individuals are welcome without identification or registration; new walk‑in clients can reserve a box by emailing the pantry in advance.

Faith‑based nonprofit providing a client‑choice food pantry with pre‑packed groceries, diapers, hygiene items, and clothing assistance. Services are offered by appointment and include case management and referrals.

A free youth meal site operated through the DC Youth Meals Program at this DC Department of Parks and Recreation community center during the summer. Provides nutritious ready-to-eat meals and snacks to children and teens, with no application, ID, or income requirement to receive food.

Lamond Recreation Center, operated by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, hosts a USDA Summer Food Service Program site in Ward 4. Through the DC Youth Meals Program it provides free, ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch to youth 18 and younger during the summer break, with no application or ID required. Meals follow USDA meal-pattern standards including milk, fruit and/or vegetable, and whole-grain, served on a walk-up basis during scheduled weekday meal windows. The program runs from late June through mid-August each summer. Outside of meal windows, the center also offers general DPR programming including arts and crafts, a fitness center, gymnasium, multipurpose room, baseball field, and playground.

The Mobile Market provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and other foods to MC students, faculty/staff, and the community. The food is distributed on campus at no cost. All you need to do is check the schedule for the campus convenient to you, bring your bags to carry your groceries, and pick up some food.

Riggs-LaSalle Community Center is a DC Department of Parks and Recreation facility serving the Riggs Park and Lamond-Riggs neighborhood in Ward 4. The full-service center serves participants of all ages from toddlers to seniors, with indoor amenities including a gymnasium, computer room, senior room, and multi-purpose room, plus outdoor features such as a playground, splash park, and multipurpose field. Year-round programs include athletics, personal enrichment, summer camps, fitness, and senior programming. Each summer the center hosts the DC Youth Meals Program, providing free meals to children and youth through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
