The Free Market is a community food distribution program run by Motivated Community Resource Center that helps tackle food insecurity in West Philadelphia. During warmer months, distributions take place outdoors at Sherwood Park, and during winter months they move indoors to Motivated's headquarters. The program serves over 200 families each month and partners with organizations like Sharing Excess and PHMC to source food. Visitors can choose the grocery items they need from available selections, which typically include fresh produce, proteins, and other staples. Motivated CRC also provides clothing, health and wellness programming, holiday toy giveaways, and other community services through its Motivated Cares outreach initiative.

Community grocery giveaways hosted by Women of Many Hats in partnership with RCCG Living Spring Church distribute free bags of groceries with fresh produce and pantry staples to West Philadelphia neighbors.

Denise's Pantry is a generous and compassionate organization. Fresh produce, meats, and prepared meals are typically available. Clients should arrive by 1 PM to receive registration and tickets for grocery distribution, which begins promptly at 3 PM.

This Playstreet location offers a summer meal program providing free meals for children 18 years of age and under. No ID is required for participation. Playstreet is part of Philadelphia's Playstreets Program, which closes neighborhood blocks to traffic so children can enjoy a safe outdoor space with supervised recreation and free play equipment. Each weekday, Parks & Rec provides a free summer meal to all participants through the Summer Food Service Program.

The Free Market operates two distinct pantry programs. The Saturday pantry provides groceries every other Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Sherwood Park (57th and Baltimore Avenue). The Tuesday Porch Pantry distributes food from 5646 Cedar Avenue every other Tuesday. Both programs are first-come, first-serve, and clients should bring their own bags or carts.

Aydan Horton Foundation is a youth-led community organization focused on empowering young people and strengthening local neighborhoods through service, education, and civic engagement.

Bayway Cares, LLC operates a Summer Camp Enrichment program for children ages 5-12 at Harrity Mastery Charter School. The summer camp includes a free Summer Meals Program providing breakfast and lunch to enrolled children. Activities include academic enrichment, homework help, dance, arts and crafts, sports, drama, and mentoring. The program accepts childcare subsidies.
