Charles H. Parker Academic Center hosts a free USDA Seamless Summer Option meal site run by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools School Nutrition Services. The program provides nutritious, ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch to children and teens ages 18 and younger during summer break. No registration, no sign-up, and no proof of income or identification are needed. Guests check in at the school front office when they arrive, and children eat their meals together on-site in the school cafeteria. This is one of dozens of free summer meal sites the district operates across Mecklenburg County to make sure kids have access to good food while school is out.

Drop-in resource center for young adults (ages 16–24) providing basic‑needs support and wraparound services to help with employment, education, housing, and independent living, with optional case management and workshops at a dedicated facility.
