    Xavier Mission is a secular 501(c)(3) non-profit that has addressed hunger, homelessness, and poverty in New York City since 1983. The customer-choice food pantry provides groceries to low-income families in a shopping-style environment.     Alliance for Positive Change's Midtown Central Headquarters primarily serves individuals enrolled in their programs, particularly those with two or more chronic illnesses, HIV, or mental health and substance use issues. They offer extensive social services, including support groups, housing navigation, insurance linkage, job training, cash management, and health homes. A main food pantry distribution is held on the 15th of every month for registered clients. Emergency food is available during operating hours, provided once for first-time non-clients, and ongoing for registered clients. To become a client and access services, walk-ins are welcome for intake Monday through Friday, preferably by 4:00 PM. Please bring an ID and Medicaid card for intake. The location is on the 3rd Floor. The phone number is a central line providing options for various Alliance for Positive Change centers.

    The Clinton School hosts a site for the NYC Public Schools Free Summer Meals Program, which served by the New York City Department of Education provides free, ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch to all children and teens ages 18 and younger. No registration, identification, proof of income, or proof of address is required, and any child in the age range may simply come to the school to eat during meal times. The program is open to the surrounding community, including children who do not attend The Clinton School, and helps bridge the nutrition gap that occurs when free and reduced-price school meals are unavailable during summer break.
