St. Paul Emergency Food Pantry provides nutritional groceries and basic household items to families experiencing financial hardship in the Charlotte community, serving as a practical outreach ministry of St. Paul Baptist Church.

At this Nourish Up food pantry location, neighbors facing food insecurity pick up a week's worth of nutritionally balanced groceries and, because this is a client-choice pantry, can select items that best fit their household. The pantry also participates in a FEMA gift-card program for clients with supplemental dietary needs; medical providers must call in those referrals on the client's behalf, and each client may receive one referral per calendar year. Clients who do not have a referral from a clergy member, medical provider, school counselor, or government human-services agency can ask Lemontree to provide one.

A free summer meal site that serves breakfast and lunch to children and teens each weekday through Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' USDA Summer Nutrition Program, hosted at the Salvation Army Belmont Corps. No enrollment or proof of income is required at this open site. The Salvation Army Belmont location also runs a year-round Red Shield Youth Center offering after-school and summer day-camp programming for youth in the Belmont neighborhood.
