    **Pantry Program

Program Overview EPH Food Pantry In 2009, EPH opened a small food pantry to provide food for our students’ families, many of whom had experienced food insecurity. In 2011, the pantry was opened up to the general public and EPH has been feeding our community ever since. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and EPH’s childcare programs were closed for four months spanning March to July 2020, the food pantry remained open. School Age and Preschool teachers even bagged food during the week and then delivered those bags to students and their families at home. We were able to continue feeding our families and neighbors when they needed our support the most. We are proud to partner with the Greater Boston Food Bank, Spoonfuls, Food For Free, FoodLink, and Rescue Cuisine to make sure we are always stocked with varied nutritious food. We believe that supporting our community through direct services like free groceries is key to our mission. If you would like to donate food to our pantry, please contact Thomas at tboucher@teph.org for more information. We appreciate every donation but have limited food storage, and Thomas needs to be aware of any donations that may be coming through our doors.

Program Qualifications We do ask first time guests to complete a brief demographic survey for our own internal records, this survey can be completed at https://gbfb.oasisinsight.net/kiosk/a7dc43e988886fc39c41994d4d340eeab1b7074cb235206e4ba7ce800e4f6d7b/ or it can be completed on paper at the pantry. You do not need an ID to use our food pantry services and you do not need to be a resident of Somerville to use our food pantry. All in need are welcome.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 clients are not allowed to enter our facility. Our Food Pantry staff with the help of volunteers will distribute the food. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather, as there may be a line outside. Please be respectful of others as you wait to be served.

    **Pantry Program

Program Overview People can come visit our pantry at every service opportunity once every two weeks. When you arrive for the first time, we will register you with your name and phone number and give you a number that helps us maintain our services. If you are already registered, when you arrive give us your name and the number we provided you. We do our best to keep items in stock, but supplies may be limited and we strive to have as much variety as we can for our community.

We organize our groceries by bins, and you can take one item from each section. First come, first serve. We let people come into the pantry a 10 at a time to keep everything organized.

Program Qualifications No qualifications necessary. Just provide your name and phone number if you have one.
