Helping Plates provides weekly free food distributions at Mount of Olives Community Center. Clients receive bags of shelf‑stable groceries and occasional ethnic Haitian food items. Pet food may also be offered. The service is open to all without ID and operates on a first‑come, first‑served basis until supplies are exhausted.

A volunteer-run community food pantry and soup kitchen operated by the Hyde Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in the Function Hall on the lower level of the church building. The pantry serves the Hyde Park neighborhood and greater Boston area, providing groceries to community members in need. The church is part of the 2025 Cohort of the National Fund for Sacred Places and received Community Preservation Act funding to preserve its historic building.

The Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital community health van provides various services, including masks, hand sanitizer, blood pressure checks, and connections to social services. Limited food bags are also available; please note that some food items are for purchase with cash or EBT/food stamps.

The Milton Community Food Pantry cares deeply for our clients and volunteers. We want everyone to feel safe while fulfilling our mission to provide food to local residents in need.

The Pantry recently reopened to allow clients in to shop. Health and safety precautions are being strictly observed. ​

• Clients entering the Pantry will wear a mask at all times.
• Social distancing is being observed by clients and volunteers within the Pantry.
• A Pantry volunteer will shop with each client, and bag selected grocery items.
• No more than 3 clients at a time will be allowed inside the Pantry to shop.
• If you walk to the Pantry, we encourage you to bring a folding grocery cart to carry your food home.
• Please bring your reusable bags.

First Parish Milton administers the Milton Residents Fund and related parish funds that provide confidential financial-assistance grants to Milton residents facing short-term hardship. The primary focus is on preventing utility shutoffs and evictions and supporting housing stability. Assistance is provided through a licensed social worker who conducts an interview and financial review. Eligibility is not based solely on income; each case is considered based on individual or family circumstances. Final eligibility and award decisions are made by the First Parish Trustees. First Parish periodically partners with other local organizations (e.g., supporting the Milton Community Food Pantry) on holiday/seasonal food distributions hosted at the Meetinghouse.
