    Info

WSCAH is a nonprofit, customer-choice, supermarket-style food pantry serving New Yorkers with free, fresh, healthy groceries including produce, protein, whole grains, and low-fat dairy. The organization was founded in 1979 and pioneered the choice-pantry model in 1993, putting dignity, community, and choice at the center of food distribution. Beyond groceries, WSCAH helps customers enroll in critical benefits such as SNAP, healthcare, and transportation assistance, and connects them to referrals for legal support, housing, financial counseling, and other supportive services. Walk-ins are welcome, and returning customers can pick up at the 86th Street pantry once a month; home delivery is available through a partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian for families with young children and older adults.
