Free Summer Meals program run by the New York City Department of Education, hosted at Brooklyn Community High School for Excellence and Equity. Any child eighteen or younger can walk in for a free nutritious breakfast and lunch without showing ID, registering, or proving income. The host school is a small public high school in Canarsie focused on STEAM learning and college and career readiness, with a community mental health clinic on site. Summer Meals runs during the summer school break each year.
