Info
Grinding Stone Collective is a grassroots Indigenous-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing traditional foodways and strengthening Indigenous Food Sovereignty. Their First Foods Program runs the Inter-Tribal Food Pantry, a mutual aid initiative that partners with Indigenous food producers to provide culturally relevant and traditional foods—including bison, grains, oysters, and heirloom produce—to Indigenous communities for free. The pantry operates on a pop-up basis at the American Indian Community House, serving urban Native people and reconnecting them to ancestral food systems. The organization also offers community education, workshops, and land stewardship programs.
