A kosher digital food program that allows community members to order food online from home through the Met Council Marketplace and schedule a monthly pickup appointment. Clients select their own fresh, frozen, and dry food items in a client choice model, with quantities based on family size. Holiday distributions include specialty items like cholov yisroel dairy, chicken, meat, and fish. The pantry also provides a daily emergency food pantry, SNAP enrollment assistance, emergency food vouchers to supermarkets, and home delivery of kosher food for Holocaust survivors in Far Rockaway. You must register online and be accepted into the program before you can order or receive food. There may be a waiting list for acceptance into the program, and clients have reported that the wait can be long.
