Baltimore City Public Schools hosts the USDA-funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), administered by the Maryland State Department of Education, to ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is out. At this site, children are served ready-to-eat breakfast and lunch free of charge. No registration or documentation is required for participants, and children need not be enrolled at the school to receive meals. Operated by dedicated cafeteria staff at Northwood Elementary.
