Playstreet is a Philadelphia Parks and Recreation program that closes designated neighborhood streets to traffic, turning them into safe, car-free outdoor spaces where children can play and stay active. Each Playstreet brings the neighborhood together with supervised activities and equipment, and provides free nutritious meals and snacks to kids throughout the summer. The program is community-led by volunteer block supervisors and welcomes all neighborhood children to drop in.
