Playstreet 1800 Taney St is part of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation's Playstreets program, which closes a designated neighborhood block to traffic each weekday so children have a safe outdoor place to gather and play during summer. A neighborhood volunteer Playstreet supervisor welcomes kids and organizes the day's activities. Through the city's Summer Food Service Program, free nutritious meals and snacks are provided on site to local children, giving families a familiar, healthy place to spend their summer days.
