Philadelphia Playstreet at 2700 N. Hemberger St. is part of the city's Playstreets program run by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. At each Playstreet, a block resident volunteer closes the street to traffic during daytime hours and kids have a safe, supervised outdoor space to play. Philadelphia Parks & Recreation provides free nutritious meals and snacks for the children, along with free play equipment and supplies for games and activities throughout the summer.
