Free, ready-to-eat lunches are served to children and teens in partnership with NYC Public Schools during the summer months. Each meal includes a protein, a vegetable, a fruit, and milk. No registration, ID, or proof of income is required, and meals are first come, first served until the supply runs out. Meals must be eaten on site at the library. The Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center branch also hosts summer reading programs, crafts, games, and other cultural activities for youth alongside the meal service.
Requirements
- First come, first serve: open until food runs out
- All children under 18 are eligible
- Summer Meal Program- Free meals and snacks to children 18 and younger
