Queens Library-Steinway hosts New York City's free Summer Meals program in partnership with NYC Public Schools. Children and teens get a free, ready-to-eat meal at the library each weekday during the summer through the federal Summer Food Service Program. No paperwork, identification, or sign-up is needed. The program keeps young visitors fed with nutritious food while school is out for the summer in a welcoming public-library setting.
