SHIP is a faith-based, interfaith and community-funded grassroots organization providing emergency food assistance and prepared meals alongside supportive services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and hunger in the Somerset County region. Programs include a Safe Harbor drop-in center, an emergency food pantry, Brown Bag Lunches (ready-to-eat prepackaged meals), and the Mobile Soup Kitchen Disaster Unit truck. The program also offers emergency interim housing, clothing distribution, hygiene items, case management, advocacy, and connections to housing and other supports.
