Provides free groceries via an indoor pantry on weekdays and an outdoor drive-up/walk-up pantry on Saturdays by appointment. Also offers free diapers, a no-cost thrift store with clothing and household items, periodic Gaithersburg pop-up distributions, limited home delivery for homebound clients, and assistance with SNAP/Medicare applications and sign language support. Pantry service is for adults 18+; ID required. Walk-ups also require appointments. Clients must arrive within 15 minutes of appointment time; early arrivals should not block main road. Diapers are for children born between 2022 and 2026; bring parent/guardian ID and document with child’s name and DOB; limit 2 packs per child per month. Home delivery is available for homebound individuals; email mjoe@sowhatelse.org to request enrollment; deliveries occur about every two weeks and may have a waitlist based on geography/volunteer capacity. Sign language assistance is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM during food pick-up appointments. The Spanish helpline is (240) 471-5995.
