Info
The Thomas Park Food Pantry distributes approximately 300 eight- to ten-pound bags of food on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The pantry operates from its own building on the grounds of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and has been running for over 30 years. Food is purchased primarily from America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, supplemented by bread donated by Panera, canned goods from parishioners, and other institutional gifts. Bags are intended as a supplement to help households make ends meet, and recipients are largely elderly and from the surrounding neighborhood. Volunteers are welcome to help pack and distribute bags.
