    You can receive food by visiting the food pantry or soup kitchen when it’s open. Make sure to check each resource page to see details like address, full schedule, and requirements.

  6. Can someone deliver the food to my house?

    Delivery services are very limited and are reserved for senior citizens or those with serious medical problems. If you believe you fall into either category, let us know and we may be able to help you find options.

  7. What do I have to bring?

    Every location is different! Please review the details included on each resource to see whether you need to bring any documentation like ID or proof of address, or supplies like bags to carry the food. If you don’t see any information on the resource, you don’t have to bring anything!

    • To apply for cash and food assistance benefits, you must complete a face-to-face interview. The county will schedule that interview after you complete the application and mail it, fax it, or deliver it to the county agency. The face-to-face interview may be waived if you meet a hardship condition
    • It is important that you mail, fax, or deliver your application to the county agency as soon as possible as it could affect the first day that you may be eligible to receive benefits.
    • A case worker at your County Department of Job and Family Services can help you if you are having problems getting needed information. It is important that you inform your caseworker that you need help.

    Eligibility: Must be a Canal Winchester or Carroll School District resident and live in the following zip codes: 43110, 43112, 43136. For those in need, the pantry operates on an appointment basis only. Please call Canal Winchester Human Services at 614-834-4700 to schedule an appointment.
    Appointments are available each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1:00 – 3:00pm, except for the 2nd and 4th Wednesday when the pantry is open from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
